Philosophy
KSK Psychiatry is a telehealth private practice focused on the equestrian community and beyond. She is a strong believer in shared decision-making and will take the time to explain different treatment options and guide you on a path that is best suited for you and your lifestyle. As an equestrian herself, she understands the unique emotional and physical issues faced by members of the community. Dr. Krushel first offers everyone a brief consultation to review basic mental health concerns and requested services. Next, Dr. Krushel will conduct an in-depth psychiatric assessment to explore any mental health concerns. She will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan, using both lifestyle and medication-based therapies to help meet the unique needs of every individual.
Training and Experience
Dr. Krushel completed undergraduate studies at Hamilton College. She then attended Drexel University College of Medicine for both her graduate school and medical school, where she was inducted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She then went on to complete Psychiatry Residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Krushel has worked in various outpatient clinics including an adult outpatient psychiatric clinic. She has experience working in psychiatric emergency rooms, inpatient psychiatric units, and an assertive community treatment program helping individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses. Dr. Krushel also works as an Attending Psychiatrist in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (C.P.E.P.) at both the Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital & Mount Sinai West Hospital.
